What the app collects

Nothing. Phasonic does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.

The app works entirely offline. It has no account or sign-in, makes no network connections of any kind, and contains no telemetry, analytics, or advertising. Nothing you do in the app leaves your computer.

What the app stores on your computer

Settings: your preferences, such as the theme, the channel display, and the level ceiling, are saved in a small file in the app’s own local data folder.

Diagnostic logs: these are off by default. If you switch on diagnostic logging in Settings to troubleshoot a problem, the app writes technical log files, such as connection and device-communication events, to disk on your computer. The app never sends them anywhere. You can switch logging off and delete the files at any time.

Both stay on your computer. They are removed when you uninstall the app, or whenever you delete them yourself.

Crash reports and statistics from the Microsoft Store

This is the one exception to the above, and it does not come from the app: it comes from Windows and the Microsoft Store.

If Phasonic crashes, Microsoft may make an anonymised crash report available to us, and Microsoft also gives us aggregate figures such as how many people installed the app. We use these only to find and fix faults. We do not try to identify anyone from them, we do not combine them with anything else, and we delete any personal information that may appear in them within 30 days.

This is standard for every app distributed through the Microsoft Store, and it is governed by Microsoft’s own privacy statement, not ours. The app itself still sends nothing.

Feedback you choose to send us

This applies if you open or send the feedback form on this website. The app itself sends nothing: the “Send feedback” button in Phasonic opens this website in your browser, and it is your browser, not the app, that makes the connection.

The form sends us what you type: your message, an optional email address if you would like a reply, and three technical details (the app version, your Windows version, and the connected device firmware). Those three are shown to you on the form, filled in when Phasonic opens it, and you can edit or clear any of them before sending. Nothing else is attached.

Phasonic fills those three details in by putting them in the web address, so they reach our server as soon as the form opens, before you have sent anything and even if you close it without sending. Like almost every website, our hosting platform records requested addresses in its standard access logs, so they may appear there. If you would rather not send them at all, open phasonic.app/feedback in your browser yourself instead of using the button in the app: the form works the same way, with the three fields blank.

We store your submission on our server and copy it into a private issue tracker so we can act on it. The copy on our server is deleted automatically after 12 months. The copy in the issue tracker is kept until we no longer need it; if you would like it removed sooner, email privacy@phasonic.app and we will delete it.

Your submission does not include your IP address, and we do not store one alongside it. Like almost every website, our web server keeps standard access logs that record the address making each request; those logs belong to the hosting platform, are not linked to your submission, and we do not use them to identify anyone. The form uses no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party form service. If you give an email address, we use it only to reply to you about your feedback.

The device

Phasonic communicates with an E-Stim Systems 2B connected to your computer over its Digital Link, on a serial port. That communication is entirely local, between the app and the device. No information about the device, or about how you use it, is transmitted anywhere.

Children

Phasonic is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children.
