Firmware compatibility
Phasonic drives output only on 2B firmware that has been tested with it on real hardware. The table below lists that firmware, newest first, and the version of Phasonic that added support for each.
Supported firmware
| Firmware | Programs | Supported from | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2.132BBeta | Beta | 17 | Phasonic 1.0.0 |
| 2.127BBeta | Beta | 17 | Phasonic 1.0.2 |
| 2.106Stable | Stable | 14 | Phasonic 1.0.0 |
Stable firmware is E-Stim Systems' general release; beta firmware is their pre-release channel. The number of programs the 2B offers depends on its firmware.
So far, the Microsoft Store build of Phasonic has been checked on a real 2B running 2.132B. Firmware 2.106 is supported and was tested throughout development; the same check of the Store build on 2.106 is still to come.
If Phasonic declined your firmware
This is deliberate, and it does not mean anything is wrong with your 2B. The list above is a safety list: firmware that has been tested with Phasonic on a real device. It is not a list of what Phasonic can talk to. Firmware that is not on it, including any newer release, is declined until it has been tested, and support for it is added in a later version of Phasonic.
If your firmware is listed above with a newer version of Phasonic than the one you have, updating Phasonic will let it drive your 2B. If your firmware is not listed yet, this page will show it once a version of Phasonic supports it. You are welcome to tell us which firmware you have.
Connecting the 2B
Phasonic needs the official E-Stim Systems Digital Link Interface, the proprietary cable for the 2B's centre 3.5mm jack. An ordinary USB lead will not work.
